The tap is firmly held in the extension, pulled out after pressing the clamping collar in the front of the extension. Functions: The tap is clamped in a suitable collet TC312, which has a torque coupling already preset, or it can be fine-tuned as needed. The thread cutter has a length compensation of approx. 0.5 cm, so it is enough to program the appropriate cutting depth. The torque coupling prevents the tap from twisting.
