This guide pad is used for easy and parallel clamping of a turning
knife with a cylindrical shank in the knife head. The knife is
inserted into the holder and the clamping screws in the knife head,
after landing on the knife surfaces, settle the blade in the
correct position and axial height of 16 mm.
After inserting a knife with a 6mm shank and an exchangeable plate into this holder, you will therefore achieve a blade height of ( axial height) 16mm.
If you have a lathe for knives with an axial height higher than 12mm, you must add adequate pads under the holder.
