Each piece of this slider is additionally checked before shipping with a 22.50 mm SOMET check gauge and a 37.001 Schmalkalden check ring directly at our store. The slider is not suitable for calibration: The upper tips of the slider do not meet the accuracy of DIN862, or when checked in the calibration laboratory on the standard - a 4 mm ring, an inaccuracy of 0.04 mm was measured (the standard states 0.03 mm). This is a manufacturing defect, the upper tips are ground too flat (not to a point), and this defect cannot be removed. Larger diameters (from 5mm) measure the upper tips reliably with accuracy according to the DIN862 standard. The slider is of excellent quality, high-quality electronics, the values do not jump, the slider has a very smooth movement - lapped sliding bar. We recommend it for orientation control measurements, or for every garage - where calibration is not necessary.
