Machine tap for thread repair For threads: BA - British inch thread, used in precision optical and measuring instruments The thread is standardized according to the British standard BS 93:1951 and BS 93:2008 Size of the repaired thread: according to the selected variant Form : D Dimensions according to the attached photos. For threaded inserts After cutting the thread with this tap, it is necessary to insert a stainless spiral insert into the thread. I.e. the repaired thread will only be created after the insertion of the spiral insert. *** The thread cut with this tap does not/need not have a standard dimension = it cannot be replaced with ordinary cutting set / machine taps.
